New Integration Between InfoGenesis
and PAR Springer-Miller Systems is Changing Hospitality Technology
Norms
Real-Time Data Brings Guest Experience to New Levels
NEW HARTFORD, NY – JUNE 21, 2006 – InfoGenesis and
PAR Springer-Miller Systems, both leading hospitality technology
companies, have just announced new integration between InfoGenesis
POS and the SMS|Host Hospitality Management System. Both companies
are initial charter members of the Hotel Technology Next Generation
(HTNG) group that works co-operatively to satisfy needs of the hospitality
industry. The integration between these companies’ solutions
will allow hotels and resorts to tap into previously unavailable
data to better serve guests and improve operations. Because the
data stream is more timely, users can get a complete view of who
the guest is and their history. This helps hotels and resorts capitalize
on critical service opportunities that involve a guest making a
value judgment about the property.
“The integration between PAR Springer-Miller Systems and
InfoGenesis is important to the hospitality industry,” said
Mark Tapling, COO of InfoGenesis. “It gives hotels and resorts
the ability to take their service to the next level. The real-time
data exchange gives operators more power when trying to serve guests
and eliminates important integration headaches that eat up labor
dollars.”
The XML connector between InfoGenesis POS and the SMS|Host Hospitality
Management System enables a real-time transactional interchange
for the purpose of sharing critical data between the different users
of the POS system and the property/guest management system. Everything
from reservation and account inquiries to postings and configuration
data comparisons are possible through the integration. These real-time
capabilities have an important influence on a staff’s ability
to take on guest issues intelligently and produce positive results.
The system interoperability portion of the integration also eliminates
manual night audit input and reconciliation while providing and
audit trail.
InfoGenesis and PAR Springer-Miller Systems are committed to supporting
and improving this integration. Both companies share in the idea
that solutions should be guest-centric—allowing for better
guest data, personalized service, and an increase in per guest revenue.
“This integration represents a way to dramatically change
the way hotels identify and service their guests,” said Sophie
Grigg, Vice President of Research & Development for PAR Springer-Miller
Systems. “The instant interaction, seamless posting, co-operative
end-of-day processing, and mapping of configuration data gives our
customers the right tools to create a seamless experience during
any interaction. This also gives the hotelier the flexibility to
provide targeted packaging of Point of Sale items while maintaining
full accountability for package breakage.”
