Grove Park Inn installs Springer-Miller
Systems’ Visual Spa Scheduling Product Stowe,
VT. April 16, 2001- Springer-Miller Systems (SMS) is proud to announce
that Grove Park Inn is the first SMS customer to install its new
Visual Spa/Resort Scheduling module.
Grove Park Inn, one of North Carolina’s oldest and most famous
grand hotels, has long been known for its splendid views, Old World
charm, and long tradition of exceptional service and hospitality.
It is this exceptional service that brought Grove Park Inn to Springer-Miller
Systems back in 1996. Over the years, they have purchased, in addition
to the SMS|Host front office system, many additional modules that
meet the specific needs of their growing property…Golf Tee
Time Scheduling, Point-of-Sale and SMS|World for internet reservations,
to name a few. Don Walton, Director of Financial Services for Grove
Park Inn and current President of the Hospitality Financial and
Technology Professionals Association (HFTP), said, “The integration
between all of the modules has made it easier for our staff to provide
better guest service.” Thus, it was no surprise when hotel
officials called upon Springer-Miller Systems to automate their
newly-designed Spa.
On February 28, 2001, Grove Park Inn opened what is being called
“one of the finest Spas in North America.” The $40 million,
40,000 square foot subterranean Spa, located at the heart of the
resort complex, took nearly two years to build and has a
one-of-a-kind combination of elegance and indulgence.
Springer-Miller Systems Visual Spa/Resort Scheduling module is
designed to fulfill the needs of resorts and hotels that schedule
and track the use of multiple recreational facilities and resources.
Using a Spa system that is integrated with PMS and POS systems has
been shown to dramatically enhance guest service and increase overall
